As
it turned out 2005 became an extensive travel year for us in terms of
both
pleasure and work. We began the year with a holdover as we
finished
2004 in the Palm Springs area. That gave us the opportunity
to
achieve one of those things you always wanted to do - see the
Rose Bowl
Parade live - although Paul was disappointed not to be able to go to
the Rose
Bowl game itself.
So let's see. We spent a week in March in North Carolina traveling to the Outer Banks, and visiting with friends in Raleigh and Charlotte.
We
slipped in a few long weekend trips throughout May, June and July -
Connecticut
Lakes, Rangely Lakes and Twin
Lakes Village.
Spent 4th of July week traveling in Belize; Labor Day week in Galveston, Texas and had our "major" trip of the year with a 3 week excursion to Australia over Thanksgiving.
Finally ending 2005, we spent Christmas week in California visiting family and friends.
Added to all this were Paul's monthly work trips to Mexico and a few trips for Diana to Europe for work and it ended up being a bit much - but there are worse problems to have.
