After
Brutis passed away; we thought we would give it some time to grieve and see how
we felt about committing to another dog. Well we made it about one year
and began to search when we came across Mocha, well actually he was Joey
then. Mocha is another Yorkshire Terrier that has some similar personality
traits of Brutis but in most ways is his own dog. He was a
show dog that had won a few ribbons thus most of his life experience was in the
house and the ring. Well that was about to change. He continues to learn
new things and adapt to our lifestyle. He now loves to walk whereas when we
first got him he was always afraid. In the process he has come to train us in
what his likes and dislikes are. He is an overly affectionate dog who
loves to be with us and has helped to fill the void Brutis left behind.
It's been only 4 months now, but it's tough to think about what it would be like
without him. He has certainly made an impression in our lives........ and
we look forward to growing with him.......
Mocha Goes Kayaking
So it was that on July 11th 2006
Mocha got his first try at
kayaking. On this particular trip we decided to begin on the Ipswich
River. It took Mocha all of about 3 minutes to jump out of the kayak and
into the river. But overall he loved the experience, and has since been on the
Tully River in Athol and the Sudbury River.
